Maddison
I'm putting together "The Ulimate Build Playlist" to keep everyone happy in the workshop/ during load ins etc/generally tunes to do things to. So, if Blue Room were going to release a 3 Disk Bumper Box Set Compilation, what would be a must on it? I'll kick things off with Hotel California The Eagles Plug in Baby Muse Song 2 Blur
gareth
Err ... isn't this thread sort of a duplicate of this one?
mikienorth
Why make a playlist when Radio 2 does the job for you...And, music makes people talk louder, can raise tension and create a dangerous working environment due to increased background noise.... Sorry to be a killjoy.
J Pearce
I have to say I'm not a huge fan of music during ins/out, though a radio on in the background can be nice. I get quite aggravated if theres too much volume on any music though, as it ups my noise exposure, slows my thinking and prevents communication. Modge
Whilst people are right regarding loud music being a bad idea when you need to talk to each other and indeed raising tension etc. etc. I still don't feel right doing manual work with out ether a)80's metal (Everyone loves 80's metal!) or b) (if the others present are up for it) EBM of some description (often reaper). Yes I'm sure it's not a good idea but in general loud music I like makes for quicker van loading \ Rigging. The volume does of course need to respect the fact you need to be able to hear each other. itinerant baker
Because quicker rigging is always better rigging. ;) Everyone loves 80's metal! I don't. :P I prefer drum and bass for van unloads, especially if you're dumping rubbish in the deal with it next week pile.
