Panasonic WJ-AVE5

Hi. Can anyone help please. My Panasonic WJ-AVE5 mixer will only give output in black and white, the only way I can get colour is if I connect output source into the monitor outputs, is there a common fault that a DIY man can have a go at here please?

I know it's a bit patronising, but have you checked that you're not putting an effect on the input which makes it look BW or sepia toned, because this might explain why the previews aren't showing it?HTH, Matt

Hi Matt. Thanks for the reply, no the input is good, it shows colour on the monitor output, but I presume this is just a parallel connection of the input..Cheers Dick

hi if you feel brave

lift the lid and you will see a large thin stainless plate

the holes you see each contain the board mounted pots that you would

use (if mounted on the case) for gain, colour, hue and sat you will need

a small pozy screwdriver and you can then adjust them

I have used this method before with great results although the process in a pain in the bum

due the pots being internal

Warning: this involves messing with the lid off and the power on so dont do it if you are not

happy with this
