meyerm3d Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 Hi Blue room.... I'm currently studying Actor/audience relationship and as part of my research I'm looking at various theatre spaces in the uk for a potential book I may be writing.I am particulary having trouble locating pictures of the old Haymarket Theatre in Leicester UK. This is a venue where I worked several years ago in the lighting department but never managed to photograph the venue. The theatre had a fantastic actor audience relationship in terms of its stage design an I wondered if anyone here has any photos of the old stage (Showing the Semi Thrust and open procsenium, wing spaces, and auditorium) or where I can go to get these pics (if they exist) Regards
thelxbloke Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 After a quick search on Flickr after remembering that I saw a person who takes photos of theatres and cinemas and the like (old and new, standing and demolished), I came up with this for you. http://www.flickr.com/photos/12494104@N00/336624138/ Hope this is of some help to you, if not s/he has more there I think. You will obviously have to get their permission before you use the photos for anything. Regards Steve
andy_s Posted November 9, 2007 Posted November 9, 2007 Try contacting The Theatres Trust their remit is to oversee all work done to theatres in the UK - I think they they have an archive.
