As mentioned here the Production Services Association AGM & Conference will be held at the Novotel in Hammersmith on Monday 9th February.

The AGM is for members only, but the Conference is open to all. Here is the timetable for the day...

AGM AGENDA

Start: 10.00am

Minutes of 2003 AGM

Chairman’s Report

Treasurers Report

----Appointment of Auditors

----Appointment of Bankers

Anouncement of Council Nominations

Matters Arising

Finish 11.00am

CONFERENCE PROGRAMME

11.15 am Welfare and Benevolent Fund

Report from Mike Lowe

11.30 Rigging Standards

This is where it starts to get tasty, as the PSA announces the launch of the National Rigging Certification Scheme. If you are a rigger, you really ought to be there :(

12.15 IOSH Safety Passport Scheme

Presentation from PSA Council Member, Adrian Forbes-Black on the PSA/IOSH Safety Passport Scheme.

According to the PSA website: "A Safety Passport... [identifies] the holder as having undertaken basic health and safety awareness training and allows the holder access to “passport controlled†workplaces. Many industries insist that workers hold a Safety Passport before they can gain access to the workplace or even obtain work."

Click here for full details of the scheme in PDF format.

1.00 Lunch

2.00 Open Forum

A chance for all and sundry to engage in what has, in past years, often been a lively debate on the state of the Industry and the issues which affect us all, regardless of which area we work in.

I'll be there (I may even wear a suit :) ) and hope to see some of you there too.

The Conference will be followed in the evening by the TPi Awards. It's a ticket only event, but don't worry, I'm sure that those of us without them will be able to find a nearby pub B-)

Would like to but don't think I will be granted time off work.

Must bring these things up in my appraisal if it ever happens.

So, it looks like it's just me and maybe one other then.

I'll be taking notes and will put anything of interest up in here.
