Juliats & Morpheus

I didn't think it would be a difficult task, hiring some lights.

I thought it would be easier to hire top-brand equipment than DJ-SuperProMaxx2000 brand kit.

I was wrong.

I'm trying to hire some 2.5kW 10" Juliat fresnels, and some Morpheus XL Faders to go with them, as well as a few 1kW 8" Juliat fresnels, and just can't seem to find them near (or south of) London at all!

Can anybody think of somewhere that might be able to help?

Cheers,

Tom

P.S. Let me explain my reasoning for this equipment choice, in case anyone wants to suggest alternatives...

I'm looking for a colour-fading washlight so I can gracefully move between the colours in my pallette, to cover quite a wide area (50' - 60' beam angle), with a smooth even quality to the light being important, since video will be present as well. The physical space available is quite constrained, so I can't have a moving yoke washlight going off and recalibrating itself.

So, I think this rules out:

HES ColorCommand (beam too narrow)

Mac600, HES PCBeam & StudioColor (can't prevent calibration)

VL* (can prevent calibration, but can't lock fixture in a specific focus)

So I selected ColorFader over CXi as I primarily want saturated colours, and I've got an irrational soft spot for them,

I selected Juliat fresnels as I've never used them, but wanted to see for myself why everybody here liked them so much.

Thanks for the suggestions. I did try WhiteLight/ MLC as my first bet, but unfortunately they only had Juliat profiles. Best suggestion so far has come from NegEarth who suggested an Arri Junior 6" 2kW fresnel, meaning an ordinary size scroller will fit.
