Trantec RTD 3406

Hello hope you are all well

 

 

Dad bought home a Trantec RTD 3406 from the local church with a broken areal. I fixed it, screwed it back in and it still wasn't 100% working.

 

Is it possible to get inside in case there is something not quite right inside such as a loose connection?

slide cover up & remove battery

insert flat bladed screwdriver between lid & battery divider

cover should pop off

 

check that aerial stud is soldered onto pcb , the case connection to the lemo socket is ok & that the battery connections are not for loose or tarnished

All fixed now - just off to see if it works :)
