gma Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 I'm looking for a switch that has 3-4 DMX inputs and one output. If signal is present on Channel one(lighting desk) this has priority. The other inputs are to have priority in chronological order. 2(Crestron) 3(Wall panels). An LTP switch would do the job, only bug is that the LTP switch doesn't ignore the other inputs when e.g input 1 has signal. Anyone know of a product that would do the job? G

Tomo Posted April 26, 2007 Posted April 26, 2007 ETC Net2 will also do this, with the advantage that the 'output' doesn't need to be right next to the 'inputs' - just run a single Cat5 cable from the Input Gateway, into a cheap switch, then out to the Output Gateway. You'd need two ETC Net3 Gateways running in Net2 mode. One would be fully-populated with four DMX Input sleds, the other with just one DMX Output sled. They can be configured to mix the DMX inputs together in any way you like, including 20 levels of priority, with HTP merge of equal-priority sources. You could even do an internal soft-patch, but that's probably more than you need!
