Hey Gang

I'm wondering if anyones used LD assistant? I've played around on wyswyg a little bit.

Anyone who feels strongly about one or the other?

LD assistant is about half the price (at least thats what I've found so far)

We've finally got the funds to purchase a new console and I'd like to get the software at the same time.

Althought if memory servers me correctly you need to own a full working copy of AutoCAD as LD assistant is like a lighting bolt on for it, hence making it more expensive that WYG.

 

Try the search function at the top, I'm sure you'll find loads of info. It all depends if you want the paperwork generating thing, or the pre-visualisation stuff.

If I'm understanding the web site, LD assistant AC is a stand alone product

it's going for $2195

the Perform version of wysiwyg is $4175

 

I want it mainly for pre visulization, but I think both also generate paperwork

You every thought about Capture 2005 ?? I'm not working for them or anything, but the prices are very competitive and its an absolute joy to use.

Working on the asumption (dangerous I realise) that you are in the US (Arizona?)

 

Have you considered ESP vision? I only ask as it seems to be very much a standard along with Vectorworks on your side of the pond.

(you can export your plans from Vector into ESP, somehow :) )

 

But Capture is very nice.... and very reasonably priced... (and darn quick)
