wysiwyg and arc lx bars

I've always been a fan of a pencil and bit of paper, although I've just plotted a design out on wysiwyg. The theatre it is for (Chequer Mead, W. Sussex) has a semi-circle bridge FOH, where the majority of FOH lanterns are hung.

I've managed to create the shape (roughly) using a normal line. However this needs to be a "pipe" so I can affix lanterns to it. Is there a way that either:

- I can make this shape I've already created into a "pipe" / lighting bar

OR

- make a semi circle/arc pipe from scratch in wysiwyg?

Did the usual search, but nothing popped up. The wysiwyg help files didn't seem to tell me what I wanted to hear either.

Thanks in advance.

The version I have used (although it is out of date now so they may have changed it) it was not possible although when I needed to do it I created a short pipe and used the polar array function it depends how accurate you need it to be because obviously this will be out by a small distance.

First, you need to divide the arc into individual lines. Select the line, then right click and choose Tools, Divide, Arcs into Lines. Select the number of lines you want to create. If you then select the lines and right click on them, you should be able to convert them to pipes, and group them.

can't remember exactly the mouse clicks, but if you right click on the line you want to convert, then somewhere in one of the menus is the 'convert line to pipe option'. (assuming you have the same version of wysiwyg that I have ver 10+) I think it's about 2 menus in, possibly under the 'other' function. I'm away from the program, so I can't be more precise. Try it with a small line first, then best thing to do would be to select the whole thing and convert it.

Hope this helps

Thanks guys,

I used the right click the arc, and seperate into lines, then converted the lines to a pipe (all through using the right click menu) and then grouped them together.

Cheers.
