Do you have the manual? (If not, it used to be available on the web...) In the back, all the fault codes are listed, along with suggested remedies...

I can't remember the menu structure off hand but check the output is set to DMX if thats what you're using. I seem to remember it reverting to D54 when you reset the desk much to my confusion.

If you are using DMX at least one of those errors becomes irrelevant, possibly more.

From the fault names alone, I'd guess that the desk is trying to output D54 and having trouble.

It also probably has some failures within the digital to analogue conversion system.

DMX output might not be affected by these failures, as it doesn't use D/A.

Your best bet will be to contact a (former?) Strand dealer - several of them have a few staff who are highly knowledgable about old Strand systems!

Hello.

Been a while since I've poked inside an MX, and not having a manual to hand, first port of call would be checking the voltage rail(s). Given the fact that it's reporting analogue problems and that it's also having problems with D54 sync (-ve 5 voltage) my first suspicion would be a missing or suspect -ve voltage rail.

Do you have facilities and abilities to take internal voltage measurements? I can point you in the right direction where to probe. If not, please advise where abouts in the country you or the desk are.

Other bits of info required to help analyse the problem.

What version of software are you running?

Are you using just D54?

If yes, do the lights go out when the desk is switched off, or the Mux cable removed from the rear of the console?

Do the lights go out when the desk is configured to generate any other alternative protocol to D54?

Do you have any facility to test DMX?

Answers to the above may assist in solving the problem.

Awaiting your reply........
