If its 2 x 1200 then it will only draw the full power into an industrial servo load in "Typical Audio" its more likely to draw less than a quarter of its rated power, prob more like an eighth. You really should try it as its mostly down to audio power content.

Add a good allowance for the start-up surge, bring amps up separately.

I'm not sure what the actual rating is - specs/manual proved illusive last time I tried to find, but I do know it will run fine through 13A on 230v driving hard if that's of any help.

Damn docs used to be available. With I'd saved them now!

yeah, I've been running it on a separate 13a supply, with my 2 pulse 4x300s on another.. just wondered if I could put them all through the same without blowing the fuse..

Don't remember it off the top of my head, but if it helps allay your fears, in one of our rehearsal rooms we run 2 x XR3801, a RA3001, 2 x SR707, a Soundcraft SM12 and various other bits (graphics and fx) off a single 13amp socket without any problems. The 13amp socket is part of a 32amp ring main.

Just had a look at an XR3801 manual this morning - the specs are pretty basic. There is a small heading that says 'Current Requirement: 220/240V - 15A'

Tnx. That would be handy. I did read your posts re repairs with interest.

You might want to remove mail address from forum posts though. Spam bots love trawling them up :)
