I know, I do get the difference, only a club up here in Rotherham has actually banned the use of smoke machines for exactly the reason that has been mentioned on here - punters complaining that if they're not allowed to have their smoke, the bands shouldn't either. It could just be a one off, but I'm just interested in sounding out other peeps' experience of it. I haven't found any problems with it in the venues I play, but my guess is that some places will.
SteveAATW Posted July 29, 2007 Posted July 29, 2007 No opposition whatsoever, but we are using more fluid than we used too - a hazer will be on its way in soon I think just to provide some background haze and we'll save the magnum 2000 for the apocalypse now type moments ;)
niclights Posted July 29, 2007 Posted July 29, 2007 No differences I've noticed so far. No comments from punters or bands. No change to usage levels although I never expected this.
Hambone Posted July 29, 2007 Posted July 29, 2007 Look Unique hazer set on a low trickle-feed causes no problems for smoke detectors here. There's enough haze for the laser/lights to refract off of, but barely visible to the naked eye, and not enough to cause a problem.
