heffie512 Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coffin_lock I was discussing theatre words with another stage hand and we decided that no coffin that we have seen has had a coffin lock - so why are they called coffin locks and not riser locks? Please help? Jeff Mods feel free to move to crew room if this topic is in the wrong spot.
Gus Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 I think but don't know this for a fact. they could have been used at a latter date to lock cofins so cofin robers couldn't get in. cofin robers used to dig up corpses and robe them of any posesions thy were burried with. so this could be were they got there name.
