Fat Frog

Hi,

 

 

I have just brought a second hand fat frog and every time I turn it off all the memories are lost! And sometimes when I turn it on the desk LCD lights up but nothing happens.

 

Any one know hat the problem might be?

I had this a while back as well.

 

If the desk was only off for a short while, less than about 30 mins, then all was fine, but between nights on the show I was doing, the it lost and subs and memories, though remembered the patch. Assuming this was an issue with the internal battery, I went through the super user menu and did the check, which came back as fine. After a while playing with the desk, I found that if I went into the desk setup menu, and changed something (I changed the patch for fixture 12 as I wasn't using it), and then exited and did the save show option, then it worked.

 

I have now taken to doing this before I turn the desk off as well as after making any major changes. I also save to a floppy disk much more regularly, as opposed to just every so often.

 

If this is something that Z88 know about, and there is a solution, then it would be cool to know about, but otherwise I will continue as at the mo.
