Breaking news from the far east.

The Matsuyotkisha Corporation of Osaka, Japan, will today announce the launch of their, new, ground breaking product. After the developement of the blue LED, scientists have made a major breakthrough in creating what has long been considered to be the Philosophers Stone of lighting, The brown LED.

Dr. Toyato Mitsumuko, head of R&D at Matsuyotkisha Corp. said

"For some time now we have been working on this, hoping to push the boundaries of LED technology into the 22nd century. It has been a long and difficult project, but we feel the end result is as rewarding as it is innovative"

Using advanced comb filtering and wavefront technology to effectively "divert" photons through the patented Browniser, Mitsumuko will have enabled Lighting Designers to achieve true colour temperature effects with low cost and energy efficient units.

The LEDs are to be made available in a range of colours from Beige to Jamaican Ginger Cake, a UK west midlands based audio hire company are rumoured to have ordered a full range of replacement LEDs to make their Consoles and amp racks more "relaxing"

Ha Ha! My evil plot to fool all you light jockies succeded and you were all sucked into my web of deceit and subterfuge. April Fools!!!

Watch out next year! My ruse will be even more nefarious than this!

.....about 7hz I believe......more of a slightly deranged orange.....

Whilst not a bad april fools joke, their artwork needs some (read alot) fixing up.

Yes, I do read a lot. thats how I learned all those big words.

Oh thats a shame, I thought for a moment then they were a 3rd of the way to getting LEDs on distros that actually related to the new phase colours!

Am eagerly awaiting the grey and black LEDs now... ;-)

Could sort you out with some Dark Emmiting Diodes, DEDs, specially manufactured by overheating and over driving in low cost lighting fixtures....

I'm actually working on a game based on a popular 70's game that was based on a popular 70's TV gameshow..

3 phase Mastermind. You randomly plug in your (newly installed, non colour coded) Powerlocks and your distro tells you which ones you've got in the right place by destroying anything on the phases you've got wrong.

I reckon it'll take off.

The distro will anyway.... :yahoo:

Phase rotation relays exist that won't energise the undervoltage coil of the breaker (to permit it to be closed) unless the phases are connected up in the correct rotation. No-one really cares if you connect up P2,P3,P1 as long as you don't connect up anti-clockwise.

Yes, but, never mind. it's April 3rd now so I'm going.
