richard Posted March 30, 2007 Posted March 30, 2007 Hello Does anyone know if it is possible to hire catering trailers on a 'dry' basis? We are looking for some to put our own caterers in to for a one day event in london but no one seems to hire the things without actually doing the cooking. Any thoughts appreciated!! Thanks Richard
David Posted March 30, 2007 Posted March 30, 2007 You can hire a mobile trailers, there is one on ebay to hire £140 per week. (13 week minimum hire) Dose it have to be a catering trailer, could it be a mobile kitchen? http://www.mobilekitchens.co.uk/ David
Jivemaster Posted March 30, 2007 Posted March 30, 2007 I've never seen a dry hireable trailer but I have seen some that I really didnt like the look of. Also most trailers I have seen were designed for a particular product, or restricted range.
leofric Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 I don't know of any dry hire trailers, but I have seen dry hire Port-a-cabins fitted out as kitchens. Not as flexablre for access as a trailer but fairly close. It was several years ago so I can't remember the company involved but I hope this points you in the right direction.
jennyhicks Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 I'd check out http://www.towmasteruk.co.uk.
Junior8 Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 Check out the exhibitors list at the Showmens Show and ring a few trailer providers. You can hire anything in the catering line - but be quick you might find it's all booked up before long. There may be some info on the what used to be MOCA site or they may be able to point you in the right direction. A word of advice - if you can't hire a trailer don't attempt to do it from a Gazebo book someone in. If you are doing it yourselves you will need both Hygeiene certs and Insurance.
kerry davies Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 http://www.villagefetes.co.uk/directory/ca...ingtrailers.htmhttp://www.exceltrailers.co.uk/http://www.cafe-catering.co.uk/http://www.ncass.org.uk/content/mobile_cat...hicle_hire.aspx For others info; most smaller catering trailer makers, as well as a lot of the mobile kitchen makers, can and do dry-hire trailers. Towmaster hire exhibition units but if they hire catering trailers I didn't know. Can you confirm this, Jenny, they make good kit. If you get stuck, Richard, then email me.
pritch Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 Has anyone noticed exactly when Richard asked his original question?
pisquee Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 If you think of BlueRoom as a repository of information, then it doesn't hurt to keep old threads up to date for people searching the same information in the future, rather than have them start a new thread. (This assumes that people use the search functions)
Smiffy Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 Has anyone noticed exactly when Richard asked his original question? And nobody has asked the BIG question. I mean... I'm on the edge of my seat here :D Did you ever get it sorted Richard, and what did you use? Did it have DMX in/Out/Through and how many Grill's did it have? S
