Sam_Lowers
Hi EveryoneI am putting together a design on wysiwyg at the moment. The design is made up mainly of profiles and I need to add frost to each colour frame. How do I do this?I have had a look and cant figure it out as every time I try to add the frost it just replaces the colour instead of adding to it!Can anyone help?ThanksSam
peter
Try going into Data view and entering "L132 & L228" in the colour field.
gareth
I have had a lookNot very far, clearly - R17 reference guide, page 218 :WYSIWYG accommodates multiple color entries for one fixture as follows:* “Color1 & Color2” yields two color frames with one gel in each.* “Color1 + Color2” yields one color frame with two gels in it.* “Color1 / Color2” yields one color frame with one split gel in it. strand600X
We do it by going to the data field and adding the colour in their putting for example L106 + R132.It seems to work but when WYG is run with the console in live mode it does not show the frost as if it hasn't been recongnised but on the plans we print out, it is on them.BazOpera North :)
Sam_Lowers
Cheers Guys, All sorted now - just struggled to find the right menu to change the colour options. Yes it is now on my plans and I am only running design so it doesn't effect me when it comes to running it live. it seems strange though that yes you see a difference once a frost is put into the design but the edges are still a bit sharper than they should be! I have tried different frost and refreshing the shaded view but no change. Bit strange but the main thing is that it is now on my paper plan which is a massive benefit! Thanks againSam
gareth
The bottom line is that WYSIWYG's render engine is really bad at doing soft edges on fresnels and frosted profiles.

Not quite sure what you are doing but putting a frost into Wysiwyg will have absolutley no effect on the beam, rendered or shaded. As it stands putting the frost in is useful for plans and other such paperwork only. RegardsAndy
