The matter of the Drottningholm Theatre

Recommended Posts

Dear all,

Anyone know the scale of the size of the stage of the Drottningholm Theatre. (The size of stage and the size of its proscenium? If I can get the plans of it, will be much much better.

And Also I want to know the mechanism Wings Change system.

Thanks a lot.....every one~ :)

See this Quicktime animation of the Drottningholm Wing Change system. (The link they give to the Theatre's website is incorrect - the correct site is the one linked by Ynot at www.dtm.se).

Note that the Swedish name for the Theatre is Drottningholms Slottsteater.

I would e-mail them direct - there is a contacts page, though all the e-mails go to a central point - just put the right department in the subject box....

hehe, I live just 5km from Drottningholm, still I havent visited the theatre once in my life...

I think your best bet is to mail or call the theatre directly, in sweden most people know english quite well!

I would advise always contacting the venue direct - ideally by phone.
In this case the OP is in Hong Kong and the Drottningholm is in Stockholm. Language might be a bit of a barrier.

Very much doubt it! Unlike us muppets (and that DOES include myself!) who traditionally only speak English, rubbish and shouting, both HK Chinese and Swedes tend to speak excellent English.

Drifting a bit OT for a moment; we have quite a few HK pupils where I work. A fair few of them don't have a first language. These kids are amongst the top percentiles for intelligence, but due to the multicultural nature of HK they speak a curious pidgin of English & Cantonese and need to work hard on securing one, or both, languages.
