ace
Just out of interest can anyone tell me what type of LED's that are used in torches like the Maglite Modifications? I want to hide a very small light source in the palm of somebodies hand that is of similar brightness.

Guest lightnix
Speak to Lightnix, he's your man for all things LEDs.Awww shucks :** laughs out loud **: The white LEDs used in the Opalec Newbeam™ are made by Nichia, but ther are many and varied ones available from the likes of Maplin and Farnell. The later do a nice diffused one, which I reckon is best for close range work and nicely "smudges out" the bluish centre spot. Don´t forget to pay attention to the beam angle. What effect are you trying to achieve here ? Sorry for the late reply, this one somehow passed me by.
