gareth
Probably not what you want to hear, but I seem to recall the scroller capability of ETC desks being very shaky in the past. Haven't programmed scrollers on one for a while now (any shows I do with scrollers on usually seem to have Strand desks on them), but last time I had to do it it was a very low-tech approach of just patching them on to an ordinary HTP channel and doing some cunning programming to get the tracking right. This even applied to the Obsession2, at least a couple of years ago - I took a show with a few scrollers into a venue with an Obsession, thinking that it was bound to be able to deal with the scrollers and I could leave the 520 that I was touring in its case. But no, at that time not even ETC's flagship console had the software in place to deal with scrollers properly. This may well have changed by now (I very much hope it has, as I'd hate to think that ETC still have a whole line of consoles that don't have the software to deal with scrollers!) - perhaps one of our members from ETC will pick up on this thread and be able to help you. Stu
I've found it to be equally difficult on an Expression 3 - even when you go into one of the menu's (I forget which one it is exactly) and select the particular channel as LTP it still doesn't do the right job, so I normally just patch it as an HTP channel and then put the value of the scroller you want in Cue 2 (for instance) to be the same in 1 & 3 (blackouts say) and the create a 3.5 with a follow on so the scroller changes in the dark, so it's in the right colour for Cue 4. Djbarryblue
The easy way I have found to patch scrollers on the express is dont. Just put them in as a channel and use the intensity to scroll through your colour it is alot quicker and easer to do we use 16-32 scrollers all the time on the express 250 and this is the best way we have found.
