mumbles
Sory, but some more ideas on the problem would be useful, in order for us not to come up with loads of various reasons that hav nothing to do with what you want.

DavidLee
How shall I make the Lumiere hand lightFirst ask yourself do you really need to? Unless of course you simply want to carbon-copy a cartoon! It's too many years ago now for clear recollection but as far as I remember - in our adaptation of the script we used our dancing "tinies" as candlesticks and we managed to get away without setting fire to any of them! Lumiere is a Disney confection and isn't really important to conceit of the story itself. However your director may have different opinions... Gareth A
Its actually quite easy. the ones we use on tour are actually especially made for us, but relys on a couple small gas cylindars and solanoid cut outs on his back, along with a few pressure valves and batteries oh his back which converts to dual piping for the pilot and main ignition and a dual operating switch on the arm itself. First point of contact does the pilot light, the second does the main ignition. Approximate cost to make 4 arms, the backpack system etc app 10k. As your profile says you work in amateur theatre, I'm guessing that may be beyond your budget. For £18 each per week, the sort of thing found on pages 4+ of this hire catalogue should be somewhat cheaper. Two of them, one held in each hand, would do the job for £36 + delivery. I suspect you're not UK based, but you don't put your location in your profile (a requirement of the Terms and Conditions by the way). Nevertheless I'm sure there'll be somewhere near you who'll hire the same sort of thing.
