Pete
With regard to the truss uprights,I did a similar thing with a pair of Source 4s and a VL 2000.We used a T Bar rather than hanging directly on the truss,we also used a LOT of stage weights. lonfire
vertical truss pieces will hold the weight of the movers without falling over? With regard to the truss uprights,I did a similar thing with a pair of Source 4s and a VL 2000.We used a T Bar rather than hanging directly on the truss,we also used a LOT of stage weights. hi guys, yeah I was a little unsure about how well this would work.. I was thinking of having the base 1mx1m steel plate.. and the truss will be max 2m high.. I'll have to have a play with that setup and see how it works.. or not.. the movers are 20kg and the parcans on the other side from the mover are around 2kg each.. what I was trying todo was add something a bit different and interesting rather than just a goalpost truss setup.. I've thought about doing a cube truss setup, however the way the roof of the marquee comes down to the edges I don't think it will work.. also I would end up with legs out in the middle of the marquee.. also my trussing is a bit manky, it was powder coated white and then the people that owned it before me painted it with gloss paint!! which is why it was very cheap.. but if you use alot of it you have to wrap it in material to make it look any good.. rgdschris
twiggy
On behalf of Chris thanks for everyone who helped him on this topic. The whole day was a hit and the marquee did look amazing although having had to pack most of it away (some guys are still there) I feel it might of been a bit of an overkill.
