qlights Posted January 8, 2007 Posted January 8, 2007 Is it possible, or has anyone seen, done, worked with TFT Screens as part of clothing worn by people during an event? Think I've seen some pictures in one of the trade magazines, but can't track it down again. Any help would be greatly appreciated.... Cheers Qlights

Colin Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 At a commercial fair at my university BT turned up with these things that looked a bit like flak jackets which had entire computers built into them, I seem to remember that there was a screen on the back and a screen on the front as well as a sort of tablet PC type thing that they were holding to fill out information. Looked rather funky but I it was rather heavy. A problem that I have seen more with cheaper models but if you use a TFT monitor from a PC it really doesn't take much for the screen to "bleed". However laptop screens are usually hard wearing and if I was doing it I would prob look at detaching the screen from a laptop and extending the wires or better yet use a tablet PC attaching it securely could be an issue but a pouch with a see through window may well work.
