Dan,

Are you sure it is a N 841?

The only 800 series I have heard of are the N 800 and N 850. Both these have 2" exits.

The N 481was a 1" exit, min X-over 1KHz, 120W continuous prog and a sensitivity of between 105 and 110 depending on the dispersion of the horn. If I remember correctly it had a phenolic diaphragm, weighed about 3Kg and was 15cm in diameter. If that is the one I've got all the specs for it somewhere in my filing system.

I'll check my old brochures and if there is an 841 I'll post again.

With H2006 horn 104.5dB

With H2009 horn 104

With H3709 horn 106

With H4823 horn 108

With H6040 horn 110 (using 2 drivers and an adapter)

With H9040 horn 108 (using 2 drivers and an adapter)

With H9041 horn 106

Diaphragm phenolic

Voice coil dia’ 44.4mm

Voice coil material copper

Voice coil former Kapton

Flux density 1.95 Tesla

Mounting hole pattern

3 holes equally spaced on 58mm dia’

4 holes equally spaced on 76mm dia’

Overall diameter 146mm

Overall depth 68mm

Net weight 3.1Kg

Replacement diaphragm M50

The only info I have on the horns ( to give the sensitivity figures some relevance) is:

H3709 is a 1” exponential with a nominal coverage angle of 90 x 80 and mouth 374mm x 90mm

The H9041 is a 1” constant directivity with a not too unpredictable 90 x 40 coverage and mouth dimensions 264mm x 102mm

The H6040 and H9040 are 2” constant directivity horns (I’ll give you 3 guesses on dispersion angles) their sizes are within a few mm of each other at 420mm x 245mm
