audiochains Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 Ive just brought 2 XTA DP200 Digital EQ's and 1 XTA DP266 Speaker management. Ive brought these units for a liquidation auction... but one of the units has been locked and the other 2 need codes to access the security menus. I was wondering if there was any way of overriding or reseting the units so I can work with them. Any help will be much appreciated. Cheers.
broadcast_techie Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 A skim read of the 226 manual says:MPORTANT - Please note your code! If the security code number is forgotten contact your local XTA sales office. usually things have a 'reset' jumper inside the unit... Kris p.s. I know nothing about these units, just giving my thoughts
northernaudioman Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 Hi, Good purchase! I particularly like the DP200's for theatre work- lovely units! To reset a DP200 back to the original state ( i.e. it erases everything including memories ) do this: Hold quit & scroll on power up It forces the unit to think that the battery has been removed so you will get an error on power up warning that the battery has been removed - just OK this and you have a factory re-set DP200. One thing to check on the DP200 is that the internal battery hasn't leaked - it's fairly obvious inside where it is - some of the earlier units were fitted with a faulty battery - I think the faulty ones were green and the ones that are OK are purple but check with Gareth at XTA - they will usually send you a new one if it's a faulty one. Gareth will aslo give you the DP266 unlock code - if you need it urgently then mail me and I'll dig it out. There is also a unit unlock code and a security unlock code available for the DP200. Regards Oliver.
audiochains Posted December 24, 2006 Author Posted December 24, 2006 Cheers Oliver! That seems to have done the trick. Now I can play with my new toys. Thanks again!! Chris.
