kikabyte Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 Last week I purchased the following items: Starville 700watt Hazerhttp://www.thomann.de/gb/stairville_nh30_hazer.htmJem Haze Fluidhttp://www.thomann.de/gb/jem_techno_pro_haze_fluid_25_l.htm Here's my question, the starville manual suggests that I use standard fog fluid. And upon testing with standard fog fluid, it seems like it just distributes the fog further than a standard fog machine, but the same clouding effect. Am I ok to use the purchased Jem haze fluid in this hazer, and is it going to give the results I want, a fine mist that discreetly drifts around the venue. Sorry if I'm a bit confusing. Chris
slipstream Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 We ended up with a few of those machines - they are basically smoke machines with a "not too much smoke" option - they and almost all real haze machines will emit some clouding. Direct the output so it dissapates before it can be seem onstage or use some fans to disperse the cloud. We have used the Jem fluid in them and it was fine - it's our prefered fluid for those machines - budget permitting. Even our Nutron's will have a visable output - but they blow up not across but you cannot put them behind a leg and hope to be invisable Sam
Stegga Posted December 17, 2006 Posted December 17, 2006 I have found placing the machine behind a large fan so 'squirts' through the fan helps disperse it giving more of a haze effect, also if positioned a couple of meters from the edge of the stage this will allow it to spread out more
pyromonkey Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 they are basically smoke machines with a "not too much smoke" option -Very similar look to the Antari Z300 Fazer. I see them as a cross between Fog and Haze therefor the name Fazer!
