ankersandrew
hiya guys, as you must know New Years Eve is fast approaching and the bosses want a flashing 70's disco style floor, anyone used them or could recommend any companies?
dave singleton
LED ones are incredibly expensive. Last time I knew of someone who had one, they paid £1200 for the night, and it was quite a small floor. Suppliers actually for this depend more upon size and what you want the floor to do rather than just suggesting companies who hire. Not many companies have lots of pannels so size is quite important. Steve Cavill
Chroma Panels would do the trick, but at £100 for a 300mm square panel and £600 for a 12panel control, its the expensive way...

Chroma Panels? They won't support any weight. Maybe Chroma Deck They're 600mm square panels, and are rated for 125kg. You can talk to Litestructures and others about dry hire. Andyb
Funky Floors have a couple of floors. Have to say that the LED one is fantastic, but then we did make all the LED systems as a special project. http://www.funkyfloors.com/ Pair of guys run the company, though I guess New Years Eve is a busy night. Best of luckandrew

dave singleton
Perspex is insanly expensive I've found. Going slightly off topic, does anyone no of a good supplier? ;)
Tomo
Perspex is insanly expensive I've found. Going slightly off topic, does anyone no of a good supplier? :huh:Of perspex (Acrylic)?I don't like the plastic - Polycarbonate (trade names include Lexan & Macrolon) is much better for flooring as it takes a huge beating without breaking.PC is softer and scratches easier than acrylic though. I'd check out Yellow Pages etc - I got most of mine through local sheet plastics suppliers.

Was gobsmacked at the place. Apparently the biggest perspexed LED floor in Europe!
