Unless someone happens to post the full fixture.lib code for that light, you'll have to go into the Notes display and edit fixture.lib. All of the attributes and columns of data are explained in Strand's comments in that file. Just select a fixture that you won't be using and copy and paste enough lines for the light. Presumably you have a paper or .pdf manual that will list the control channels for the model light you have. Then, if the light has unusual parameters, you may have to edit the ATC pages file, which is a little more complicated. That will require referring to the 300 manual.

rubbish -don't worry. There isn't any real problem with a pair of futurelights and a Strand. If they work ok - they are ok.

You'll have to write a fixture lib entry for your self. the syntax is in the header of the fixture lib itself - you just need to find a similar entry, copy it and then adjust it to the DMX entries you have - give it a go and see. if you get it wrong things just work a bit oddly - like pan gets mixed up with gobo - that kind of thing. I did all mine myself - after a while it all falls in. download a manual or two for random kit in the existing fixture lib, then see how the DMX channels map to the feature set - it isn't simple, but I didn't fail - I got there in the end. For what it was worth, I used some of the more arre fixture entries from 90 upwards and just replaced them

....its not a very good desk for it

A Strand 300 is a perfectly good desk to run movers off! I won't repeat what others have said, but the only thing they missed is that the fixture library page is a bit tricky to find - hit the MORE button, then you should get a NOTES DISP on one of the soft keys; hit that and LOAD FILE will appear; hit that and you should see FIXT LIB on one of the softkeys. That's the file you need :P Apologies if I'm repeating something you already know...
