Remote Head and possibly track cam hire

I'm looking to get prices for the hire of a remote head, and also possibly a powered track camera system for an event in January next year. At the moment I just need prices to sort out budgets and decide whether or not to hire the equipment, however everywhere we've tried so far says they can't do them. So does anyone have any recommendations of places to try, or even better knowledge of actual hire prices. We don't need HD or anything, as we only mix composite signals, it'll also be used alongside XL1's and PD10's/150's to give an idea of the quality we're looking for. We just want something we can mount on a truss and move live to get some interesting shots, without the intrusion a jib has.

peter,

I have used these a couple of times, great where you what unobtrusive cameras, just done this for a client with two remote cameras, the rig we used was originally used on the recent coldplay tour, they work very sweet and allowed us to do impossible shots on a dragons den type event we did the other day. They come with truss mounts and have remote controls that allow you select pre-setup shots or take live control of the individual heads is the talent walks out of your preset shots.

pm me and I will put you onto the company that does them..

best

Pete.

another idea would be to do as we do for some of our confrance and events work.

we use some hi spec PTZ cctv dome cams, the one we use has a 3CCD sony cam within it with a 30x zoom.

I think we paied aprox £800 inc controler a few years ago, and there great in low light for aduance shots.
