Donovan
Hello I wonder if anyone can help me? I have to create a water effect on either side of a stage, I will be using a gobo for the actual water effect but I'm not sure of the best fabric to project on. What fabric takes projection well taking into consideration a small budget? also if anyone can recommend a place to hire such fabrics within the Nottingham area, that would be great. thanks in advance for any help I receive Donovan

Ideally a very light grey. In the past we've also added a small moving fan to create a ripple effect. As with all of these ideas its trial and error to find the look your after. Don Allen
Have you seen a water wave effects projector in action ? http://www.lifeismusic.co.uk/lights/Wild-T...erwave-466.aspx see movie link They are not as good as you can achieve but for low cost and minimal effort they are suitable in some applications. I have one with a 250 watt ELC lamp and it has a reasonable punch. Main disadvantage is you either have a colour scroll occurring or you set a colour.
