dogcop
Afternoon Blue Room,The problem I would like help with is as follows. Behind our main church band (think rock and roll) are two large windows approx 6' high 4' wide.I wish to get a back cloth to hang from the ceiling 6x3m to cover the windows and would like the cloth to be able to almost reflect the light from the Led pars. (no dimmers available in the church hence going for the led par 64's) I have two questions 1/ what is the best material and colour to achieve the effect I have described 2/ will this (in daylight) black out the windows behind or will I have to get a black backdrop as well to put behind the lighter one in front to achieve blackout. or any other suggestions thanks in advance Andy :) mods I have put this in lighting but feel free to move to another category
w/robe
You can get curtaining 'black out' fabric which is white. Though people who know about lighting will have to advise you on if this is good to light, it would cut out most of the light coming through the windows. JimWebber
Hi Andy, 1) Not sure about the material, maybe one of our staging/scenery experts would know better, but I would go for something white or off white but not too shiny. If you can get it to hang nice and straight, it can also be used for some form of projection in the future... 2) If your budget will stand it, I would definitely go for some form of blacks in front of the windows. (As thick as you can) HTH Jim
