Al Cain
I am looking at getting some new pyro kit, i.e. controller pods and leads. I have used both Le Matrie and Sky high but wondered if anyone had an opinion on which was best/better? Thanks.ALex
chocpyro
If you are going to use the kit to tour around different venues I would opt for Le Matitre as it is the most widely recognised kit and therefore is most likely to give you less hassle at the venue. timtheenchanteruk
I personally like the sky high kit, I like the fact you can twist the cartridges when plugged in, just to make sure of a posative connection, they also do an adaptor for Le-matrie`s 2pin jobbie, they were only £7.50 last time I looked, also sky highs effects do seem to be slightly cheaper
pyromonkey
Le Maitre Prostage 2way or 6way best controller on the market for that price I would say. It has both PyroFlash Bulgin Connectors and Prostage2 Terminal Connectors. no need for silly converters like the skyhigh kit!
robert morley
the pro stage2 6way is a good little controller and again if you chose to use sky high pyros there is a converter. if you do choose the lm equipment then send them an e-mail and they will tell you where your local distribution centre is. hope it helps rob
StevieR
I would go with the Le Maitre fan club as I've never had any problems with it. However, I've not used any of the other brands so that's not much of a comparison. You might want to look at this from another angle - that of the effects offered by the manufacturers. They will all do similar main ranges but some will have some more original effects that may sway your decision. Just a thought... Steve
Andrew C
It has both PyroFlash Bulgin Connectors and Prostage2 Terminal Connectors.I can't believe that LM are still using this revolting, unreliable, non-latching connector!
pyromonkey
revolting, unreliable, non-latching connector I Agree. its like IEC's! (LONG LIVE POWERCON!) your forever checking there connected on gigs! (but I did see a new latching IEC the other day) which made me go oooooo! :)
henny
one thing for the skyhigh stuff The twintpods also have bi-coloured LED’s which glow RED for power and GREEN if the effect is loaded.
