Peter F
Sort of related follow up question: Has anyone had any success with multicore connectors suitable for video?I'm thinking milspec/harting/edac for video, not necessarily one of those types of connectors but you get the gist. Cheers, Peter
Pete McCrea
IIRC Hilsongs Church in London use a something akin to a VDM on their video Production racks. Craig at SFL would be the man to speak to on that. It was a while ago that I saw the racks though, and was a quick "here's our PPU racks- right best be off next services is starting" stylee. pumphouse
I have used both the EDAC and Harting varieties in the past. The EDAC ones were hopeless, but the Hartings weren't too bad. As with all of these, they only work on small gauge co-ax's and rather delicate crimps so are inherently pretty fragile. Despite this, the shell on the harting looks like something you'd find on the outside of a tank. You can mix contact elements of different types (including pneumatic!) in the same shell so you can easily do video, audio and ELV power (NOT mains) in a common shell.
