Secondly, a polite request - using non-capitalised posts and poor spelling is frowned on here, (see the T & C) so we'd appreciate you spending a little more time on the posts. jayselway
I found it to be working just fine 5 minutes ago. If you change any words, then remember to click "Resume Editing" afterwards, or sometimes it will lose the corrections that the Spelling Checker made. tokm
SLX... good if you've got a fair bit of cash, but unfortunately.. they don't seem to offer much of a discount to 1st time hires, even schools. Might just be my experience with them though. As always I recommend Viking Stage Lighting, opposite end of the country I know, but their great at sorting shipping at quite a low cost and they stock ma500s as well as the better AT series kit from Robe, 250washes.. well they have the robe 250 washes, but if your getting 4 big heads and a desk, they'll do u a nice deal on just 2 575wash heads, which are brighter than 250washes. BTW, I'm assuming you don't mind bigger/better kit.. If your rig can take some mac 500's, I'm sure another 2 575 unit's will be OK. Other place id try is UK sound/light community, they have list of reputable companies on their website, you basically tell it where you are and it brings up companies near to you. gareth
Or you could try the Blue Room's official "web links partner" Stagelink (see clickable logo in the banner at the top-right of the screen), and their list of UK lighting rental companies. dave singleton
Stage Electrics also don't stock 250 washes. They're still on 300s. Give Ben or Mark a call in our office, the contact details are in my signature, or PM me. We are based at Hurstpierpoint, West Sussex. About 10 minutes from Brighton. moderation: content edited to fit within the BR policy on commercial posts.
Chris_R
Hi,I'm from North Devon and regularly use Bright Light in Taunton (Somerset) for lighting hires. Great Service and great prices! Whether they have access to 250 washes I'm not sure, but if its not in their catalogue its worth giving them a call/email as they will probably be able to source it for you if they don't have it in stock. They also do delivery at a good price. www.brightbluelight.com. Cheers,Chris

Andyb
Enlightened Lighting stock Mac500's (and robe 575 color spots) & robe 250wash fixtures (instead of mac250s) as well as fat frogs and anything else you may need. Give us a call to discuss carriage costs / methods. Hire costs are on the website for interest too. Andrew
Ollie
I'd have to put in another vote for Viking as well. Have used them for the past three years and they're service is excellent as well as their prices. Don't think they stock the MAC 250s but the ROBE range in my opinion is just as good if not better. Had no problems with any of them, unlike the MACs!! Would say go for: 4 x Colourspot 575AT2 x Colourwash 250AT (I'm sure they do them, just not on the website (Maybe even try the 575AT washes, only another £50 on top!!))1 x fat frog They're also pretty good with me for discounts if I'm ever stuck to a strict budget, worth asking what they can dfo for you as well. That's my thoughts anyway. Cheers
