david.elsbury
Hi thereQuick question- I'm trying to find, on behalf of my church, which Shure mics have the little stubby antennae on the bottom of the handheld TX's. Is it the UX series? (Shure's website is less than helpful...) Thanks:DDavid
NeilW
I know for sure that the Shure UHF Premier Series has this style of antennae on the handheld transmitters. This was the top of the range line until UHF-R was brought out, and is still quite common, although I'm not sure if it is still being manufactured. There may be other products in the Shure range, but this is the one that I have most experience with. The link to the Shure page is:http://www.shure.com/ProAudio/Products/Wir...pro_UHF_content and the handheld transmitters are the U2: http://www.shure.com/ProAudio/Products/Wir..._pro_U2_content Hope that helpsNeil
StevieR
The UHF-R is now Shure's top line range. The older UHF Premier series ( the one with aforementioned stubby's ) is now no longer being manufactured although there is probably still some stock available should you wish to try getting some. Contact a dealer for more info. Steve
StevieR
Actually, I'm going to go back slightly on my last post. It looks as though the 'UHF Wireless' range is still available. Its in the lastest price list and is mentioned in the brand new range brochure - although it doesn't get a full page spread. I presume that it will be around for a little while and then phased out as Shure push the newer UHF-R range as their product of choice. Will speak to my rep the next time he's in.
