tanko
As we don't really have a CAD forum, I figured lighting was the place for this! I'm getting to grips with doing my lighting plots in vectorworks, and actually finding it really rather good!, however one thing is really starting to p*ss me off, I can't find the motor symbol I have seen on other vectorworks plots. The one I have seen on other peoples plots has a circle with smaller circles in side it, with cross hairs laid over the top. Just wondering if anyone has this on file, or can tell me where to find it in the wonderful world of Vectorworks! cheersTank edit - poor grammer! eamon
Hi tanko found this site on the light network( www.lightnetwork.com) a good place for vectorworks related questions http://www.autoplotvw.com/ never used it (yet) but have read good reviews also http://www.cben.net/ is a cad file sharing website which seems quite good. I have a link somewhere for a fantastic on line guide to spotlight & all vectorworks apps too. I will forward it on in due course. also have a look at steve shelley's soft symbols, www.fieldtemplates.com. Very cheap & good value too hope that helps eamon
tanko
Cheers for that, the fixture symbols are pretty good, but the motor ones aren't quiet what I am looking for, Just wondering if anyone else has any idea's! cheersTank
Neil Frazer
The symbols that I usually use for motor points are under map symbols in the resource browser. Concentric circles with cross hairs or circle with cross hair and black and white quarters.
