rmarchand Posted July 18, 2006 Posted July 18, 2006 I know it's somewhat late for this season, but I was wondering if anyone could help me out with who provides crew for various festivals. I have most experience working as a lampie, but have a decent level of knowledge when it comes to sound, and a number of years as stage crew under my belt. I know that ESS provide sound for the Carling stage at Reading, and that stagecraft provide stage crew for the pyramid stage and the other stage at Glastonbury, but as much information for any of the festivals would really be appreciated. Also, I'm looking into working more freelance, can anybody recommend companies to sign-up with? Cheers
whitehousejamie Posted July 20, 2006 Posted July 20, 2006 I to would be interested in advise of how to get some more freelance work. I have experience in most types of lighting, have worked on concerts, corporate events etc. Also own my own hire company.
charlyfarly Posted July 20, 2006 Posted July 20, 2006 Your best bet would be :P Companies like Stage Miracles and CrewCo etc. This would be for general stage duties and humping. Jobs like monitor engineer, patcher and FOH babysitters etc. are generally picked from within a sound or light company. You may be a little late for this year and competition for placements can be fierce but you never know.....
