tivoliproduction Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 just watching another of the BBC's efforts on celeb shows, (only fools on horses) wouldn't the sawdust on the floor in the arena cause havoc with the fans etc on the mac 2k's? hope this makes sense. just a tired thought...
mumbles Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 Just changed to BBC3 to watch the round up of it. There don't seem to be any lights within the ring fencing, and so, there will be no difference to any indoors horse show. Also, the sawdust comes in quite large particles (based on what they have at the stables my sister goes to for their shows), and so is a bit too heavy to be carried towards a fan.
soundguymark Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 I've work at the place where its held before (Unex Towerlands) and the sawdust isn't actually sawdust its some type of fibre stuff, the particles are far to big and heavy to be sucked into a fan. Mark
tivoliproduction Posted July 10, 2006 Author Posted July 10, 2006 that would explain a few things then, from what I remember when I used to horse riding it was pretty dusty. :D

Mark Mark is right. Synthetic fibres coated with a waxy substance, as used at the Horse of the Year Show. It has very little 'kick back'.......it's much kinder to the horse's legs but not your bum (I speak from experience!) :D
