KindredHyperion
Does anyone know of anywhere where I can find DWGs (or, for that matter, any other kind of WYSIWYG-compatible model) of outdoor stages? I would have thought this would be something that WYSIWYG would have in its library, but it seems I thought wrong. Adam
merlin24
Why..? I don't understand why you would think they would have it in their library. Its a file that has not been created in Wyg, so I see no reason why they would be there. DXF DWG Files are available from various places normally at a cost. KindredHyperion
No no no no.... What I meant was that I thought that an outdoor stage might be the kind of thing that Wyg might have in its library. I was looking for DXF DWG files because I knew they were compatible and would be more common than Wysiwyg files. Hope that clears stuff up a bit.... :) Also could someone change the title of this to "Wysiwyg models of outdoor stages" or similar? merlin24
An out door stage would be very easy to create within Wyg. There are no boundarys other than what you set. Make sure you give it your location and where north is, you'll even get the daylight rendering things happening with the sun in the right place etc etc. Check the manual if your not sure. Real simple. RegardsAndy.
Ken Coker
Do you want it for teaching or for a commercial project?I have some old .wyg drawings of the stages at : Smukfest that I can let you have if it is for the former. These were publicly available on the web, so I can't see there is a copyright issue. Might be worth checking with the Smukfestfolk if you're worried though. KindredHyperion
No - at the moment I only want them for experimenting with WYSIWYG, and if I ever actually use them on a project it will only be educational. PM'd. Adam
