WYSIWYG and Offline editors

Hi,

Does anyone have a definitive list of exactly which offline editors will talk to WYSIWYG? All I've seen is that it will work with "certain" or "compatible" offline editors. And how does one configure this to work?

Ta,

Don't have a definitive list, but I think you will find that it will work with most popular ones and anything that outputs Artnet i.e. ETC, Avolites, Strand, Compulite.

How it works depends on whether you want to run the OLE and WYG on the same PC, if you do then generally you will need some special drivers to enable them to communicate internally.

HOG PC (available from Flying Pyg's website) will work straight away with Perform. Simply add HOGII unit from device manager and select settings (patch etc..) as you require. Think it runs with Martin Show Designer as well but not sure.

Console Edition will talk to most of the major desks (Strand, ETC, Flying pig Sys.) with just a driver installed from manufacturer. Full list can be found Here.

I tried that with the Hog II offline editor, and it didn't seem to work... :) Wyg just couldn't connect. Do I need to set an address somewhere to 127.0.0.1 or something? I tried Pearl offline as well and it didn't work either.

Edit: Oops, silly old me!

It seems you can't attach a console (even an virtual one) to the demo version of Wyg. There you go then! :)
