sonic
I'm looking for a USB to cardbus. I have a couple of devices I want to run but they are cardbus devices and not USB - and I don't have a cardbus slot on one of my laptops. I'm guessing that the cardbus is connected to USB in the laptop because all the devices come up as USB devices - so I'm assuming the cardbus uses a USB channel. So can I get a USB to cardbus convertor anywhere - cause I can't find any. Regards, Sonic.
jhughes01
It may be that they don't exist. You certainly can't extend the PCMCIA cable. The only way I can think is if you can find a PCI to USB convertor box with a PCI to PCMCIA unit in it. I'm probably wrong, but here's some additional information from elan digital.
soundo26
Hi; I've got a PCMCIA (Cardbus) device which gives USB & Firewire ports. It has a separate power suppy so you can power USB devices too. It's made by a company called Aten and should be generally available from decent computer suppliers. If you have problems geting one, I don't use mine very often these days so might considder selling it or something!!!! Anyway, yes they are available! Andrew C
:) Please confirm that this question has a direct theatre connection, or it will be deleted. Computer issues are best discussed in a computer forum, the BR isn't!

I think OP wants the opposite way round. Like these: http://www.psism.com/u111.htmhttp://www.psism.com/u132.htm edit: They will not support all types of card though. Mark.
