Fat Frog Chase

Can anyone help

I have had a Fat Frog for almost a year now and generally I'm getting on quite well. However can anyone tell me if and how you can change the times between each step when you are programming a chase. E.G. step 1 > Step 2, 5 seconds step2>step 3, 10seconds etc.

Virgin Post on the blue room ( and any other chatroom type thing) so forgive any mistakes

Many Thanks

Chocpyro

Hi Chocpyro and welcome to the Blue Room. Your only mistake was to put a lighting question under 'electrical and power'. Electrical and power is to discuss things like generators, connectors, cables etc. The best place for discussing a lighting board is under 'Lighting'. I've moved it for you. I'm sure plenty people will be able to help answer your question. Regards, JSB - Moderator

Hi Chocpyro,

Welcome to the Blue-Room!

From my own experience with the FROG desks it seems that you cant change the times between each individual step, if it was very important though you might be able to use the step function and do it manually...

You can set it to be step function when you program the chase, it is one of the options.

I could be completely wrong and I'm sure Peter (Mr Zero 88) will set me straight!

The various chase modifiers (Direction, Action, Drive, Speed) apply to the chase as a whole and so it is not possible to have different transitions between individual steps of the chase.

However, if you program a sequence of scene memories on the memory stack, make their triggers automatic and add a jump back from the last memory in the sequence to the first you could achieve something very similar to the effect you require. :mods:

Thanks Nick,

Perhaps I should have been clearer in my request.

I want to use the chase function to programme a series of moves on my movers, so that perhaps the first few steps are slow sweeps followed by some rapid colour changes and moves etc.. On a Pearl you can unwrap each chase and adjust the atributes of each step including the time, I can't seem to work this out on the frog

Try the Zero88 support forum at http://support.zero88.com/forum/ and post there. Someone will know if you can do it!

While this is good advice and the zero88 support forum is an excellent source, the information posted by Potassium Neuf on this board will be exactly the same information that you could get from K9 on that one. And as this comes from one of Zero88s staff I'd take what he says as accurate.

His advice on making the chase a series of scene memories which automatically follow one another sounds very similar to what you would achieve with the unwrap chase function from the Pearl.
