peter
Hi Ben Give Keith a call on 01633 838088 on Tuesday Morning. He'll be able to tell you the part number, and sort out ordering one if you need it.
Pete
Hey technicians, OT,but not the best way to open a post if you've read the debate Just wondering if anybody knew the name of the part I need to replace the individual faders on my schools alcora. Weve done it before by zero 88 sending me one but theyre not that nice and wont send us any more. Thanks Ben So Zero 88 aren't nice because they wont send you any more free parts. I'd have thought they were nice to send you any free one's at all

robthelightman
I think that you cant buy direct from zero 88 but can from normal outlets, also surely you could use a normal variable ressistor from maplin and not a specialised zero 88 one?
Tomo
Forget Maplin. Rapid or CPC Farnell are the two best suppliers for that kind of part. And unless you know exactly what the part is, you'd be better off getting the Zero88 one.Linear variable resistors come in very large number of different guises and physical arrangements - even if it physically fits, it'll do very odd things if it's supposed to be logarithmic and you get a linear, or vice versa.
