WJProctor
Hi Everyone, I'm kinda asking this form my own information but also becuase its something were looking to add into our software. But basically if you could have a printed cue list what should they have on them? Im kind guessing: Track Number / NameLengthOn Stage CueNotes But what else is useful to know? Thanks for you help Regards
mac.calder
A cue list should have everything you will need to know, nothing more, nothing less. I usually have cue number, deck, track number, level, short description, length.
Rob_Beech
Rather than on stage cue, maybe cue type. the Cue may come from someone on stage, it might come from an SM, or it might come from a certain lighting pattern* *Cue could be play track 8 on blackout after Fred says I'm not a small monkey. etc etc. Sometimes a particular track may need to be played twice. Its pretty handy to know this in advance. naturally we'd cue the following track as soon as one had finished, can save time and confusion. This might go in the Notes section though. Again, this could come in notes but its sometimes useful to know what is on the track. (whilst not in detail).FX, Speech, Music, etc.The people on stage may also need to take cue's from a particular track (dance routines and the like) so notes on the people on stage needing to hear a particular track etc. Every show is different. From a software point of view you would need to be able to hide fields that are not used on a particular show. so if Stage monitoring is not required for anything related to Cue's throughout the show, that field should be hidden. Andrew C
How does the cue end? Pre-recorded fade, fade over 'n' seconds or snap on "Q word"...

BlueShift
I keep my cue lists to a minimum by re-mastering all tracks for correct level time end fade/cut etc... So all I need to know is deck, track number, cue type, cue I have this on a sheet but I also have a digital copy of the script (which is page accurate to the one the cast and director have) which has all the cues inserted for easy tracking. Suzette
I presume you are only talking about sound cues sheets..... because stage/lighting sheets need very different information!
paulears
If you are going to build in a cue list window - why not simply make it have excel type columns, 4,maybe 5, with variable width - then people could simply adjust the widths to suit whatever format and content they want.
