Digital to analogue projector help

I did a search but I couldn't find anything. I'll try and keep this simple - I have a Bell+Howell CX1 projector which I want to use with a Powerbook. My Powerbook has either SVGA, DVI or SVHS outputs, and the projector has VIDEO BNC, RGB 3 way BNC, or something called TTS which looks a bit like SVGA with less pins. I've tried searching all the usual suspects, MAPLIN, RS etc but I can't find anything to suit my needs, does anyone have any ideas or know where I can get a cable to do the job?

Thanks in advance

From the connections on the side, I'd say the only way you will link it up at 'no cost' is via the S-VHS, via a passive S-VHS to composite adapter, or maybe if your projector can use 2 of the 3 BNC's on the RGB input as a Y-C input, you could split the S-VHS to that.

The projector may run at 800*600, but you will need an adapter to move the sync pulses from the RGBHV signal and superimpose them on the RGB one, in addition to slowing the refresh rate - Not something I'd bother spending money on trying...

Which model of PowerBook is it? The Ali ones (About 1GHZ and above) have a Composite and SVHS out on a 7 Pin adaptor, and usually supply with an adaptor that gives Composite through that adaptor.

If it is an older machine, then using a scan convertor to scale the Data Signal down to composite would be one option. There are other options available, but quality can suffer.

The other option might be to upgrade the projector..... Not many places have CRT projectors anymore, due to the brightness available in the desktop 'cheap' projectors. £900 should get you something with XGA resolution and 2000 lumens output.
