OB2
Hi I'm hoping to try and refurb the equipment in my theatre - at the min we are still in the dark ages with our equip!! just wondering if anyone knew of any grants available for this kind of work - we are a non-profit organisation. so if anyone knows of any grants available it would be great to know of them!!! Bobbsy
Several groups I've worked with have been successful in obtaining lottery funding. I'm far from expert in the politics involved, but the general impression I've had it that they've had more luck getting funding for a specific production (which "requires" upgraded technical resources) than for general refurbishment. I'm also led to believe that there's a real knack to writing a successful application in the appropriate "lottery-ese". Bob
Lee Brennan
There is a software programme called 'Fund Finder' you fill in the questions and it brings up all the trusts/funders who may give you some capital funding. click here Try your local CVS, they have that software available at no charge (as you are a non-profit making org) Grants for the Arts - by the arts council is something which may support your equipment upgrade?
