Jamtastic3
Hey BR,At the moment, I'm looking to turn a plain white, sterile looking seating area (about 30m x 10m) into something a bit more attractive looking by adding drapes - well drapes across the ceiling, preferrably cream. I've seen pictures of large wedding tents where the drapes come together into the middle though because my room is more rectangular, I'm just going to have them cross the width of the room. (height does not matter in this case)So does anyone know where I can get some material or price-per-length fire proof draping from. OR... is it a case of buying lots of sets of curtains and covering them in fire retardant? Cheers!
Just Some Bloke
It's quite a common question on the Blue Room: "where can I get theatre drapes from". If you were to use  THE SEARCH FUNCTION  you'd find lots of answers, but in short the answer is: Yes, you can buy flame-retardent drapes. The following should be able to help. Andrew C
As an aside; beware of covering smoke detectors. The fire/licence authorities could get stressed by this. Worth just thinking it through...

If you were to use :) THE SEARCH FUNCTION Yeah but see I wasn't even relating the term theatre to those types of drapes. That's why I thought I should ask. Thanks for the numbers though man! Jivemaster
Your local marquee MAKER may make you a sectional marquee lining to fit your venue. Check that it will be fire retardent to the theatre BS first though.
