david.elsbury
Hi BenTo my knowledge, none of the Blue-Room members are skilled in mind-reading. So the more info you provide us, the better we can help you What packs are you using right now? What are the connectors on them for the lapel mics to plug into? What mics are you using right now? I would suggest that if possible you hire the same mics, to ensure that the tone stays the same as much as possible.Where are you based? This will help us suggest local suppliers to you (or failing that, check out the Stagelink link at the top right of every BR page, for suppliers near you. Shez
Don't forget to consider frequency planning too - you're very unlikely to be able to use 14 mics together on the ch.69 shared frequencies.
ampcats
I was going to echo Shez above and say have a look at the script and work out where you can swap packs between actors - but considering that Fame is in the middle of a UK tour at the moment (indeed, it has just (4 days ago...) pulled out of a venue about 30 miles away from you) you probably have not got the rights to put it on, so mics is the least of your concerns... My understanding of the OP's first post is that he has 8 beltpacks & 10 mic heads and all he wants is another 4 mic heads so that he can fit mics to all the principals and just swap packs. Thats my understanding of it any way.
ampcats
oops - prices can be between £30 and £300+ depending on what you are looking for - as david said above - for compatability, need existing beltpack details, and for convenience, existing microphone types
timtheenchanteruk
probably easiest/cheapest to buy lapel mics withthe connector already on, for alot of stuff I use the cheap £35 ones from trantec, studiospares do them, they come with the 4pin lemo on already, and at the price dont sound bad and are essentially disposable, some of the people I work with can destroy a mic in 3days be it £200 or £
