AndrewE
Our venue has a Zero88 Illusion 500 desk and an ARRI demux, and I'm interested in aquiring a rigger's remote. Can I for example buy a Strand remote, or an ETC remote? I've looked everywhere and can't seem to find a Zero88 one. Thanks in advance! Andrew. Guest mattladkinlx
I dont think you can use a strand or ETC remote in an illusion desk as both remotes are for specific control consoles. Has the illusion got a riggers remote port on the back of it? If so then you should be able to get a riggers from Zero 88. If it has no port, then you cant use a riggers unless there is scope for a WiFi PDA style remote using extra software? Not sure as dont know the desk that well! Paulmcewan
the Illusion 500 does not have a specific remote.the unit that you can use with it is a ELC riggers remote from white Light. It is a radio riggers and works very well.
robloxley
You can use any handheld DMX tester as a remote control for the dimmers, but not as a full desk remote.
Potassium Neuf
There is not a Rigger's Remote as such for the Illusion 500 desk. The desk does have the facility of 6 remotes switches that can be assigned to certain front panel keys or macros.
ampcats
I'm sure I read somewhere there was an rs232 option going to be made - presumeably it never showed up... I'll try and dig up the reference...
