AndyJones
hello guys, I have Just brought some mac 500's second hand, I have done a total overhaul of the insides, replacing any broken/ worn parts but I don't no what to do about the casing, the are lots of scratches and marks, my question is can these be polished out or anything or is it easier to buy a whole new case from somewere? can the metal base plates be repainted? any special paint needed? thanks Andy
SparkySteve
I've used 'BBQ black' paint on heads before and never had a problem... they look Bobby Dazzlin' too!
Rob
The best thing to use to clean the cases is a foam cleaner. Not sure if it has a proper technical name.
SeanT
Yeah, it's called "foam cleaner" or sometimes "antistatic foam cleaner"
